hospital IAU VM Medical Park Florya, Assoc. Dr. Sami Sökücü studied medicine at
Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Istanbul University between 1997 and 2003.
Sökücü, who started his specialty training continuously after his medical license,
worked at T.C. between 2004 and 2010 After completing his specialization training
at the Training and Research Hospital of the Ministry of Health in Taksim, he was
entitled to receive the title of specialist in orthopedics and traumatology. In
addition to being able to use all the innovative methods that offer treatment in
lengthening and shortening surgery, which is his area of expertise, he can also
expand the use of magnetic nails in lengthening and shortening surgery. limb

*Assoc. Dr. Sami Sökücü can successfully apply internal and external treatment

numerous cases of primary knee and hip arthroplasty, which is frequently used in

changes in the knee and hip joints, and has gained significant experience in post-knee revision. and hip replacement.

patterns become normal, future knee, hip, and waist problems are avoided, and
cosmetic improvement is achieved. The method recommended by our doctors is to
perform lengthening with the technique (lengthening by magnetic nail) without
placing an external device on the patient in patients with suitable profiles. Although
this method offers great comfort to patients, it allows the movements of the hip,
knee and ankle to be natural, especially after lower extremity extensions. It also
allows the prevention of complications such as pinhole problems, joint
contractures, fractures and malunions seen after fixator removal, which are seen in
the external fixator method.
